This is the tuna dish I made with the sauce.

Seared Ahi Tuna with Roasted Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

For the Ahi Tuna:

   •   4 (6 oz) fresh Ahi tuna steaks

   •   2 tbsp soy sauce

   •   2 tbsp olive oil

   •   2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

   •   2 cloves garlic, minced

   •   1 tsp grated ginger

   •   Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Asparagus:

   •   1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed

   •   2 tbsp olive oil

   •   Salt and pepper, to taste

   •   ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

For the Mashed Potatoes:

   •   3–4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped

   •   ¼ cup unsalted butter

   •   ½ cup heavy cream or half-and-half

   •   Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1. Marinate the Tuna: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger. Coat the tuna steaks in the marinade and let sit for 30 minutes.

2. Sear the Tuna: Heat a skillet over high heat. Sear the tuna for 2–3 minutes per side for a rare center, or longer for desired doneness. Let rest before slicing.

3. Roast the Asparagus: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast for 12–15 minutes until tender. If using Parmesan, sprinkle it over the asparagus before serving.

4. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain, then mash with butter and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper.

5. Serve: Plate the sliced tuna with roasted asparagus and mashed potatoes. Drizzle sauce over Tuna. Enjoy!
