It’s a nice dish to use up vegetables that you need to get rid of.

Beef Stir-Fry with Vegetables
Ingredients
• 1 lb steak (sirloin, flank, or ribeye), thinly sliced against the grain
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional, for extra depth)
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
• 1 tbsp sesame oil
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for stir-frying)
• 1 bell pepper (red, green, or yellow), sliced
• 1 small onion, sliced
• 1 cup broccoli florets
• 1 carrot, julienned
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
• 2 tbsp water
Sauce
• 3 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
• 1 tbsp oyster sauce
• 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
• 1 tsp cornstarch (to thicken the sauce)
• ¼ cup water
Instructions
1. Marinate the Steak – In a bowl, combine the steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
2. Make the Sauce – In a small bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients. Set aside.
3. Stir-Fry the Steak – Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add the steak in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
4. Cook the Vegetables – In the same pan, add another tbsp of oil. Stir-fry the onions, bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots for about 2 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger, then cook for another minute.
5. Combine Everything – Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce and stir well. Add 2 tbsp of water if needed to loosen it up. Let it cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
6. Serve – Enjoy hot over rice or noodles!
Tips
• For extra heat, add red pepper flakes or sliced chili peppers.
• For a richer flavor, drizzle a little more sesame oil at the end.
• Swap veggies – Use zucchini, snap peas, mushrooms, or whatever you have on hand.
